Rainbowman & other stuff...

Today I stopped at my local collectibles store, Time Tunnel, to see what they had to offer. I've blogged about this store before, it has a LOT of vintage toys and collectible figures. Old Star Wars figures and memorabilia, vintage fisher price little people, old transformers, Universal monster stuff, Star Trek, Lost In Space, etc.

Today I found an old figure of a japanese superhero named Mirrorman. This superhero had 7 different forms. This yellow form is known as Moonman (Dash 1) and has the ability to deflate and fit into small spaces. The other forms all have different powers. The other monster is a bandai Chandora, from the Ultraman Powered show.

Both toys are old and a bit beat up, but they were pretty cheap so I took 'em. I hadn't gotten any geeky collectible stuff in a while so it was nice to find 2 things that I liked. Another thing about that store that's cool is that there always tend to be geek type dudes in there browsing. I got a soft spot for geek types and based on experience have had some awesome sex with several Trekkies.

Earlier in the week I met up with a friend for lunch in SF and he took me to Clarion Alley in the Mission District, a long alleyway where there is street art on both sides of the walls. There was some really awesome artwork, my favorite being a group of police officers surrounding a dinosaur, with the lights casting a a large shadow. Cool stuff.

5 for Friday

Here are 5 random photos taken today, Friday.

1. A new rice cooker/steamer that I bought today.

2. This street is named Gay Street. I wonder how if indeed any homosexuals live on it?

3. Here is a wall of some of my paintings and concert posters. The painting at the top used to hang on my living room wall but I moved it to my hallway wall because whenever I would invite dudes over they'd get a nervous look flash across their face when they saw it. And I titled the painting The Bad Trick.

4. My friend who was visiting earlier took advantage of my exposed buttcrack when I bent to pet my cat by snapping this pic with his camera.

5. The paper bag that I carried the above rice cooker in I placed it on the floor as I put the rice cooker in the kitchen. I walked back into the living room to find my cat Lulu chilling inside of it. Silly kitty!

AT&T sucks and NOT in the way i'd like it to!

I've come to the conclusion that AT&T should change their name to AU&C, meaning absolute useless crap. I find it appalling that this company brags with advertisements that claim more bars in more places and the biggest 4G network in the area, yet I find their service to simply suck and be unrealiable. I used to believe that crappy cell phone reception (including dropped calls, inability to make a call due to no signal, inability to connect to wi-fi because of poor network connection, and difficulty sending text messages due to poor network connection) was due to the cheaper Nokia Go Phone I owned. Well since upgrading to a Samsung smart phone I continue encountering the same problems with crappy reception. A co-worker who has an iPhone complained to me that she hated it because she wasn't able to use it at work to connect to the internet or send texts. As soon as I found out she had AT&T I knew what the problem was. It's not her iPhone that sucks, it's her crappy carrier that sucks. In fact, everyone that I know who's had AT&T has bitched and complained about how their service sometimes works and sometimes doesn't. Another friend got into a heated argument with an AT&T tech, finally bitching that it was bullshit for her to pay for a service that doesn't always work. I have to go and stand in certain places in my apartment in order to be able to connect to the internet or send photos via text message, and my bedroom is not one of those. Maybe I just want to chill in my bed and jerk off to xtube videos, but the lack of connectivity forces me to do this in the kitchen, and it's sometimes hard to have a good wank when you're staring at your sink full of unwashed dishes or a box of Cheerios with that dumb bee staring back at you. As soon as my contract is over i'm thinking of switching to Verizon. I've noticed that "cheap" services like T-Mobile and Metro PCS seem to have better mobile service than crappy AT&T. Does anyone else have trouble with AT&T service or is my town (which is the 2nd largest city in California, mind you) that simply has crap reception?
